Mexico-EU Joint Parliamentary Committee

 

The Mexico-European Union Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) is the mechanism for parliamentary dialogue between the Mexican Congress and the European Parliament. It has 28 permanent members, 14 from the European Parliament and 14 from the Mexican Congress (Senate and Chamber of Deputies). Currently the Co-Presidents of the JPC are Senator Citlalli Hernández Mora for the Mexican side, and MEP Massimiliano Smeriglio for the European side.

The JPC is held up to twice a year since 2005, alternately in Europe and Mexico. It is one of the strongest and most diverse bilateral dialogues. After each meeting, a Joint Statement is adopted. The latest Joint Statements are the following:
