Likewise, Mexico and the European Union hold a Joint Committee on trade matters on a regular basis. This Joint Committee discusses the work of the supervisory bodies provided for by the Global Agreement and serves as a space for continuous dialogue on issues of common interest such as the bilateral economic relation, custom procedures, technical barriers to trade and intellectual property rights including geographical indications and designation of origin, among others.

The last Meeting of the Joint Committee in its trade configuration took place on 22 October, 2020. The press release from the Ministry of Economy of Mexico can be found in this link, and the press release from the European Commission can be found here.
