Political Dialogue

The High-Level Political Dialogue between Mexico and the European Union is an exchange mechanism on international and regional political issues that is held within the framework of the Strategic Association between both parties. This, like other sectoral dialogues, is held under the framwork of the Global Agreement and the Joint Executive Plan of Strategic Partnership. Its first edition was held in 2014 and has subsequently met once a year.

The VI High-Level Political Dialogue, co-chaired by the Undersecretary of Foreign Affairs Amb. Julián Ventura and the Deputy Secretary-General for Political Affairs of the European External Action Service, Mr. Jean-Christophe Belliard, took place in Brussels, on March 19, 2019.

The VII High-Level Political Dialogue will take place in the last two months of 2020
