Human Rights


The High-Level Dialogue on Human Rights allows the authorities of Mexico and the European Union to exchange views and experiences on the situation of human rights in Mexico and the EU, offering a unique platform to learn from each other´s perspectives and strengthen our cooperation on human rights. The Dialogue usually comprises a bilateral dimension - where issues about human rights and the rule of law in Mexico and the European Union, the consolidation of our bilateral cooperation, and other issues of mutual interest are addressed -, and a multilateral dimension, in which consultations and exchanges of information are carried out in relation to our shared efforts in the framework of the relevant forums on human rights of the United Nations.

Since the 3rd year of its creation, the Dialogue has been accompanied by a Seminar on Human Rights with Civil Society, which constitutes a space for making recommendations by the representatives of Civil Society.
